Adding an oyster to your dogs diet is probably not something most dog owners would consider but they are actually a great source of nutrients. I often use canned oysters in my diets as they are particularly high in vitamin B12, copper and zinc.
For example, one canned oyster provides around 30% of a 10kg dogs daily needs for vitamin B12, 40% of copper, and 80% of the daily needs for zinc.

Never feed raw oysters to your dog as they can carry an organism that may be dangerous.

Always start with small amounts when adding any new foods to your dogs diet and ensure that amount is tolerated before increasing.
